Description
Since the start of the LHC, the ATLAS experiment has recorded significant amounts of minimum bias events at center of mass energies of 900 GeV
and 7 TeV. With this data, it is possible to study the
non-perturbative regime of QCD interactions in kinematic regions not
accessible before. We present a study of angular correlations of
charged particle tracks in the transverse plane and in pseudo-rapidity
with an emphasis on small systematic errors. The resulting
distributions can be compared to currently available multi parton
interaction models as well as to recent results from the D0 experiment
at the Tevatron collider. They can also be used as an input to further
tuning of MC generators.
