CFU and Bench modification for HL-LHC IT magnets testing in SM18

- R. Betemps will present the work of Romain regarding the manifold for the interconnection the coming week.
- G. Ninet presented a detailed schedule for three main tasks: Intervention in the Cu-SC connection of the 13 kA leads of F1, the removal of the 600 A leads of F1 and the installation of the 2 kA leads in F1. General agreement in the relation of tasks and stepping. However the start of the works won’t be imminent after the reopening and they will start as soon the resources are available.
Y. Raqai is in charge of the qualification tests of the current leads cable that will be installed for the 2 kA lead:
- High voltage test at room temperature, in a GHe atmosphere of the 2 kA current lead cable insulated and placed in the tube as it should be installed in the CFB.
- Powering test of the 2 kA current lead cable in a vacuum atmosphere in the diode cryostat. This required a long development for the safety qualification of the task which is almost ready. The next step is production of several parts needed for the test.
- S. Ferradás summarized the dates of arrival at SM 18of the first horizontal magnets related to the IT string. These dates were the most updated ones before the lockdown. Updates will follow and will be integrated in a global plan regarding deadlines of integration specially done for TF.
- M. Charrondiere presented the main updates to the PLC system in terms of protection for the F1 bench. Instead of using the ¨Potential Aimant cards, it will account a new uQDS system mirroring exactly the configuration in the LHC.
