## Participants

Marta, Stathis, Michal, Salvador, Ruben, Gerard, Maryline, Bernardo, Franco, Yacine, Ioannis, Gaelle, Patrick

**HEALTH STATUS: Everyone is fine without any COVID-19 symptom!**

## Main points

* **Rules and Staff:**
Now almost all of the members of the TF section are back while on the 6th of July is expected also to work in a percentage of 80-100% on site.

    #### OBLIGATORY steps to return at SM18

    * Online course “COVID-19 - Health & Safety Measures at CERN” which is now available on the Safety Training catalog on CERN’s Learning Hub (https://learninghub.cern.ch) > Catalog: Safety > Domain: Safety and Health (SH).
    * Upload your attestation here : https://cesaam.web.cern.ch/

    #### Documentation:
    * The documentation is a "proof of work", especially for those that are partially working. However, it accounts for everybody!

## Marta's notes

### 1. Update on the SM18 Work:

- Update your EDH status weekly or whenever it needed but always in time.

- **11T long magnet: On going**
Problems with the electrical integrity of the magnet, while there are also questions on its performance, which are critical for the magnet itself. Nonetheless, there are under investigation. A realistic test for the LHC with the background circuit has been performed (at 3kV) following a discharge of 900V, which created a quench located at the D1U outer layer. At that rate 2 small voltage drops appeared indicating a QH breakdown and the operation of the QH in open loop. Additionally, the spikes are still present, without though to be impacted by the short circuit state.

    **Summarizing**:
    - **Current status**: There is a problem with the cryo-plant, and thus the magnet test has been postponed.
    -  **Issues**: Spikes, performance, protection, and insulation are the main cons of this magnet.
    - **Goal**: It is a good opportunity to understand the defects of this magnet, and of course to disqualified for any use in the LHC.

- **QXF triplet prototype**
It has a high priority tag, with its preparation being finished successfully. Now the QXF magnet is now cooling down.

- **Demo2**:
Test is progressing successfully. The magnet is already warming up.

- **DP201**:
There are questions concerning its performance, while there is also an on going HV insulation qualification on the QHs. A presentation of MBHDP201 results update and tests summary has been done, while a preparation of another presentation about the 11T model magnets thermal cycles overview is ongoing.

- **D2**:
A High voltage test has been scheduled. Preparations are on going on both the magnet and the potaim crate. The magnet shaft is inserted, but it is not perfectly centered. Lucio has been informed and he is going to check.

- **General**:
    - Crab cavities are probably be at the SM18 next week. There will be a conflict with the RF-cavities which are going to consume be amounts of helium. Anyhow, it will be discussed tomorrow at the dedicated coordination meeting.
    - Holiday management with those left behind. Please keep the overlap periods as shorter as possible.
    - Seminar on Precursors (Gerard, Marcus) : it is under discussion.

### 2. End of contracts:

Several colleagues are finishing their contracts, and thus, a lot of topics (optical fibers, diodes, and more) are under "migration" and exchange of knowledge; while they need to be evolved within the next weeks. For each and everyone, please prepare the final documentation in time. In order to facilitate this work, as a starting point create an one page document with the "to do" list and their status, contact persons, information, storage area, and more. Include also the next steps of your work and what else is pending or on hold. To be presented at the scientific meeting. Additionally, Christian will be back on Monday. For whom it may concerns, please update him accordingly in order to help on a smoother transition.

### 3. Around the table discussion
