Abstract:
The search and detailed study of solar and atmospheric neutrinos lead to the discovery of the strange quantum mechanical phenomenal of neutrino oscillations and mixing. In this lecture we will learn about the discovery of neutrino mixing and the latest experiments in neutrino physics dedicated to the study of neutrino oscillations. Detailed studies of neutrino mixing currently offer the best hope for discovering large CP Violation in particle physics and are the driving force behind two future multi-billion dollar international experiments in Japan and US.
