EGEE UF PC 11-DEC-2006 Present: Massimo Lamanna, Markus Schulz, Erwin Laure, Kristina Gunne, Frank Harris (phone), Hannelore Hammerle, Ian Bird Publicity - A first set of slides has been produced to be used by people in their presentations to make publicity of the event. The SC06 flyer should also be used at any event where people are going (will be available on the web site for our colleagues to print and distribute). - Announcement sent to PEB/PMB/NA4/RelatedProjects (send it to EGEE-all) - The announcement for business partners is being reworked by Metaware (becoming urgent) - Conference poster: in preparation Organisation - We will get help with Indico from Danilo Piparo Visit to Manchester - Massimo and Kristina will go to Manchester on Monday Dec 18. They are going to visit the conference centre and meet with the local organisers. User Forum Programme *** Wednesday (OGF/EGEE day) Ian has agreed to give the EGEE talk during the joint day plenary. His talk will bring up the infrastructure as well as the applications on it. The other plenary (OGF speaker) to be decided by our OGF colleagues. OGF: The SAGA group would like to make some (joint?) demos with EGEE. They have shown interest to talk to EGEE users. We will discuss later if they should make abstract submission through the normal channels or not. OGF often organise road map session. If this proves successful in North Carolina we could combine this with a gLite roadmap session *** Thursday Four parallel sessions planned for the moment, very similar setup to the first EGEE UF. Session content to be determined by the abstracts. *** Friday Programme in the morning, but afternoon can also be used if needed. Plan is to do more parallel sessions, but also workshop format could be used. This should have a strong applications flavour. Very likely to have a workshop on application monitor. Other ideas are welcome! Another possibility is to have a plenary with some community specific topic which could be interesting for all users (e.g. Wisdom). Next meeting 15-JAN-2007 at 4pm (CET) ACTIONS Hannelore: Send the flyer to Massimo Massimo: Send another call for abstracts message to the EGEE All members list (including the slides and the pdf flyer).
