ARIS update

  • 2xGPUs and CPUs: should give better result than GPU + CPU
    • But this is not always the case: wasted time in GPU/CPU communication and small margins to gain
    • Will ask for an additional month of access to complete study
  • Example: PS main file
    • CPU only takes part in tracking, rest done by GPU
    • Task sharing: 9 mio in GPU, 1 mio in CPU
      • Trying some task parallelism
  • Kostis will be remote collaborator from 1st September

Markus: SR and docstrings

  • Not yet finished, on Markus' fork but not yet tested
    • Right now Markus has other priorities
    • New impedance sources
    • Presentation to come

Simon: bug discovered

  • Preprocess throws an exception for certain time arrays numpy/python floats and indexing of lists/arrays
  • Ticket opened; for latest BLonD master
