Futuro Remoto

Futuro Remoto is the science festival run by Città della Scienza in Naples. It was launched 34 years ago, in 1987, with the  scope to respond to the need to communicate the importance of scientific research to the general public and to create an ever stronger dialogue between science and society.
Since then Futuro Remoto has been held every year with greater success for its capacity to renew its programs and to respond to the needs of the public questions for a new scientific citizenship.

This year the Festival is entitled "PLANET" - Between epochal changes and global challenges, and has been strongly impacted by the effect of the cornavirus pandemic both in its contents than in the formats for the organization of events. A schedule of activities including exhibitions, labs and demonstrations, talks and shows will take place from 20th to 29th of November, most of them remotely.

This XXXIV edition proposes a journey through the metamorphosis of our Planet due to climate change and to "planetary" events of dimension, by giving voice to the world of science and research that play a fundamental role in facing such emergencies in every part of the globe. A specific program has been set up for this edition to highlight the importance of international cooperation in advancing the progress of science and research for a better world.
