Abstract

I will give a review/overview on not-so-well-known topics in matrix models, mostly focusing on so-called dually-weighted models and techniques to solve them. The topics to be covered will include an interpretation as 2d surfaces with curvature constraints, a connection to large N gauge theories at finite temperature, and the T-duality of the discretized worldsheet.
