EMI PTB meeting, 22/06/2010,  14:00-15:15 Tuesday

1) Follow up: meeting notes, actions

1a) Meeting notes from 8/06/201 are approved.

1b) Actions:

*Balazs: add Laurence to the list, remove James

*Balazs: send skeleton of the "high level" plan to project office Friday 11 June:

* Balazs: ask PT leaders about their development plans clearly explaining the purpose of the required information. PT leaders will have the deadline of Wednesday 16th June:

*Massimo: prepares a similar skeleton for the "area workplan" deliverables by 11 Friday, June

*Area leaders: send the harmonization plan of their areas. The harmonization/convergence plan should relate to the EMI products covered by the PTs. length: should be more than one sentence. deadline: 22 June

2) Development plans collected from product teams.

The PTB stared to digest the proposed plans posted by the PT leaders. Balazs: read 80% percent of the plans. Morris: read all. Massimo: read the computing PTs, Patrick: read the data, John: read security. Laurence: read the infosys.

Balazs asked every area leader to read all the PT plans, not just the ones within their area.

Next steps:

* data area meeting next week,
* no planned meeting in compute, security and infrastructure areas
* area leaders work out a consolidated plans for the PTs of their areas in the next two weeks
* the area leaders keep the PTB informed about any emerging issue regarding PT development plans (e.g. certain proposed task is rejected, overlaps resolved)
* on the next PTB meeting the PTB wants to approve the PT plans and if needed decide about "hot" issues.

* Meanwhile Morris will propose a process which will ensure that the PTB will not overlook the "global picture" while creating the workplan

 

3) Technical plan deliverables

Balazs reminded the delivrable owners that the July deliverables have an internal submission deadline of 10th July!!!

Please communicate any foreseen delays to the project office  and to the WP leader.

Massimo asked again if the "area plan" deliverables can really cover only the frst year. Balazs said yes.

 

4) AOB, including next meeting

according to the regular schedule, 2 weeks from now, 6th JUly.

It could be a longer meting, due to the development plan discussion/approval.

Massimo is excused  from that meeting.
