This is the second workshop on Transient Current Technique, with the first one being held at DESY in 2015 ( https://indico.desy.de/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=12934 ). Transient Current Technique is becoming one of the key techniques in sensor characterization and qualification and has gained a lot of users in recent years. With Two Photon Absorption TCT on the horizon, the future of TCT certainly remains bright. The workshop is dedicated to the exchange of information and experience in TCT. It covers all the aspects of operation: -experimental equipment -operational experiences -analysis software and ways to extract different sensor information from measurements -simulation of measurements A speciality of the workshop is the laboratory exercise part where hands-on experience can be gained. The second workshop has extended the topic also to the most recent findings obtained from TCT measurements on different devices. VISA Slovenia is a Schengen country, so the same rules apply as for any other Schengen countries. If you have a valid visa for e.g. Germany it is valid also for Slovenia. Accommodation In recent years number of hotels and hostels has gone up. The rates vary and probably the best offers you can get from internet providers, such as booking.com ... Transportation: From the airport you can take a shuttle to the city center (cheaper version) or a taxi (more expensive). If you take a taxi get one from Metro, call 080 1190 in Slovenian networks . They speak English and order one to Jamova 39 (JSI location), Ljubljana. They should know it immediately where it is. The cost should be around 25 EUR (25 km ride). The taxis which wait outside the airport are usually double that price. If you take a shuttle you will be dropped off at the main bus station. If you like to walk it will take you around 25 min to get to JSI (have a look at google maps) or buy a bust ticket called Urbana (it is the only way to ride buses and it costs 2 EUR) and load it with e.g. 5 EUR. A single fare of 90 min is 1.20 EUR. The bus line which drops you 20 m away from the JSI is 1 - "Mestni Log" or within 5 min walk bus line number 6 - "Dolgi Most". Taxi (Metro) is relatively cheap in Ljubljana, around 80c/km with ~2 EUR starting fee if ordered within the city limits (almost always the case). As the city is relatively small it won't cost you more than 5-7 EUR to get almost anywhere in the city.
