A precise reconstruction and calibration of the jets and of the missing transverse energy (MET) are critical inputs to many Standard Model measurements and new physics searches at the LHC. This workshop, right at the beginning of Run 3, will review the calibration procedure and the performances of the jet and MET algorithms used in CMS for the analysis of the legacy Run 2 data and overall readiness for Run 3, focusing in particular on streamlining workflows and full adoption of PUPPI as default jet type.

The workshop will include an open session featuring talks from ATLAS and theorists.
