In this talk Norbert Seifert will give a brief overview of how radiation effects are managed in Intel, shows recent trends and before concluding discusses a few selected radiation effects related challenges.


     

 

Biography

Norbert Seifert is a Principal Engineer in the Foundry Q&R Group at Intel Corporation. He has led and managed the Q&R radiation effects team from 2015 through 2023 in Hillsboro, Oregon and since then moved to Austria focusing on selected radiation effects projects. Before joining Intel in 2003, Norbert worked in the areas of Device Modeling, Reliability, and Circuit Design in the Alpha Development Group at DEC, Compaq, and HP. Norbert received a Ph.D. degree in solid state physics from Vienna University of Technology (Vienna, Austria; 1993), and holds a MS degree in physics from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN).
