Four-top-quark signatures: from EFT to simplified models

Room: Online only Four-top-quark production offers a unique window into top-quark self-interactions and generic top-philic new physics. We study the accuracy of an EFT description of several simplified model scenarios for current new physics searches in four-top-quark final states at LHC. We establish along the way new limits based on the most recent experimental results, projections for the future reach of the HL-LHC and emphasise the necessity of a dedicated experimental search strategy for top-philic resonances in four top final states.
