Travel information

Zagreb can be reached from various places via air or long-distance bus. The airport webpage can be found here. The airport is located about 10 km from the city center.

Travel to and from the airport:

There are public buses but they are not frequent. The black taxis outside the airport are quite expensive, it makes more sense to call an Uber or a "standard" taxi, as e.g. Radio Taxi Zagreb. Note that for these the pickup is on the upper (departure) level. More information can be found on the airport webpage. Please use this also to inform yourself about Covid-related travel restrictions when entering Croatia.

Zagreb is a tourist destination, and more general information about the city itself can be found here. It has a modern tram system and frequent bus services, and more information about public transportation can be found here. Paper tickets for public transport can be bought in Kiosks or, slightly more expensively, in trams, and need to be validated when entering the bus/tram. In trams, only the front/rear entrance have machines for paper ticket validation.
