Description

The Inner Tracker is an all-silicon detector that will replace ATLAS’ inner tracking layers for the High Luminosity LHC. SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is responsible for the loading and integration of the pixel layers closest to the LHC Beamline, the Inner System. We’ll mount the silicon pixel detectors on their mechanical supports, then connect the loaded mechanical supports (“loaded local supports”) to integrate the full Inner System. This talk will present the loading of the first thermomechanical local support prototype.
