Description
Several CERNLIB ports are still being used / maintained and face the impact of upcoming hardware and OS changes:
- what are the main risks/benefits of independent ports?
- is there overlap between different projects? or components that do not require active maintenance as they are superseded?
- would community maintenance / validation be possible / desirable?
- can we learn from other communities for how to make this more sustainable?
