How to reach Lecce by plane:
The nearest airport is Brindisi. There are two possible ways to reach Lecce from the Brindisi airport:

by bus (~ 40 minutes). The bust station in Lecce (Piazza Carmelo Bene) is at walking distance from the center (~ 15 minutes).

you can take the autobus to the train station (~10 minutes) and then the train to Lecce (~ 30 minutes). The train station in Lecce is at walking distance from the center (~ 10 minutes).
Another airport is located in Bari. From there, you can take the bus to the train station (from Bari aeroporto to Bari Centrale, ~ 40 minutes) and then the train to Lecce.
How to reach Lecce by train:
The train station is at walking distance from the city center (~ 10 minutes). High speed connections with Rome (down to 5h) and Bologna (down to 7h), while you will need to change in Caserta if coming from Napoli (total 5h 30'). The nearest hubs are Brindisi (30') and Bari (1h 30').
