Scientific Programme

Topics (preliminary):

  • Publishing statistical models: why and how
  • Overview of use cases
  • Statistical models vs likelihoods
  • Model serialisation
  • Wishes and needs from the pheno community
  • From full to simplified statistical models
  • pyhf development and integration with theory tools
  • Machine-learned likelihoods
  • Combinations
  • ...

The programme will consist mostly of discussion and hands-on working sessions. Wednesday afternoon (3-4:40 pm CET), we join the PHYSTAT workshop to follow their summary talks, see https://indico.cern.ch/event/1051224/timetable/

Overall, apart from the first two days, the workshop addresses a rather specialized audience, i.e. people want to who work on technical solutions for publishing and/or (re)using statistical models and likelihoods.
