Geneva Guerin - Director
Geneva Guérin is a co-founder and producer-director with Cinécoop Productions, a film production cooperative in Montreal, Canada. Since 2010 she has produced and directed four feature documentaries: ‘La Cantine Afghane’, (The Afghan Kitchen), a documentary on Afghan refugees in Paris, in 2012; ‘Van Horne & Waverly’, a portrait of Montreal’s Mile End neighbourhood and its artists, in 2013; ‘We Call Them Intruders', on Canadian mining companies in Africa and how people in Canada unknowingly finance the operations, in 2015; and 'Ghost Particle' on the fascinating quantum world of neutrinos, in 2021. She has also co-written and is in development for a feature fiction, ‘Flight Over Moonstrife'.
Her filmmaking aspirations span political documentary and fiction film. Geneva holds degrees in Political Science, Communication Studies (film production), as well as in Architecture and Engineering.
She has been making films alongside her career as a green building consultant since 2003. Despite apparent differences, she finds perfect coherency in the capacity to exert influence in deeply creative ways in both realms.

Francesca Stocker is a dynamic Swiss PhD candidate from the University of Bern in experimental physics. She works at CERN on the ProtoDUNE team.

Geneva Guérin est co-fondatrice et productrice-réalisatrice de Cinécoop Productions, une coopérative de production cinématographique à Montréal, Canada. Depuis 2010, elle a produit et réalisé quatre longs métrages documentaires : « La Cantine Afghane », (The Afghan Kitchen), un documentaire sur les réfugiés afghans à Paris, en 2012 ; « Van Horne & Waverly », un portrait du quartier Mile End de Montréal et de ses artistes, en 2013 ; « We Call Them Intruders », sur les sociétés minières canadiennes en Afrique et la façon dont les Canadiens financent sans le savoir les opérations, en 2015 ; et 'Ghost Particle' sur le fascinant monde quantique des neutrinos, en 2021. Elle a également co-écrit un long métrage de fiction en développement, 'Flight Over Moonstrife'.
Ses aspirations cinématographiques s'étendent au documentaire politique et au film de fiction. Geneva est diplômée en sciences politiques, en communication (production cinématographique), ainsi qu'en architecture et en ingénierie.
Elle réalise des films parallèlement à sa carrière de consultante en bâtiment écologique depuis 2003. Malgré des différences apparentes, elle trouve une parfaite cohérence dans la capacité d'exercer une influence de manière profondément créative dans les deux domaines.
