Getting around Ljubljana

There are several ways to travel around Ljubljana.

  • All participants of the GIREP conference will have free public transport with the Ljubljana city buses (LPP) by showing their badge. The scheme of the Ljubljana city buses can be found here.

  • If you prefer cycling, there is a great network of rental bikes around Ljubljana. You can register for the rental bikes here.

  • Ljubljana is tiny, so it is easy to explore the city center by foot. However, if you feel too tired, you can sometimes catch a Kavalir, a small and slow bus that drives around the city. There is no particular schedule, but feel free to stop one and jump on, if you feel you need it. Note that this is only useful for exploring the city center.

  • If you wish to climb the castle but don't feel like walking, you can always take a ride with the castle funicular. Find more info here.
