The Intel® oneAPI tools are the successors of the Intel® Parallel Studio XE (PSXE) tools. The support of accelerators was added to PSXE by providing tools for DPC++ programming or OpenMP offloading. Many workshops focused on the usage of the tools for GPU accelerators recently. In contrast the present training will provide news about the usage on CPUs.

The training will be delivered by a team of Intel® oneAPI tools’ experts:

Igor Vorobtsov has more than 13 years of experience in the areas of C/C++ and Fortran compilers, applications performance tuning and software developers support. Igor got a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics. Since joining Intel in 2008, Igor has been working as a Technical Consulting Engineer supporting software developers throughout EMEA region. Igor has a broad array of application experience, including enterprise applications and high performance computing environments.

Aleksei Fedotov is a senior software engineer at Intel, working on design, development and optimization of libraries for parallel programming such as Intel® oneAPI Threading Building Blocks (oneTBB) and Intel® OpenMP aimed to speedup parallelization of algorithms by providing abstractions from the low-level resource management. Before joining the Threading Runtimes team, he made a visible impact to a world-renowned cloud library by implementing statistical and mathematical algorithms that have serial, parallel, and distributed variants. Aleksei has overall 10+ years of experience in software development and optimizations. He holds master’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod.

Heinrich Bockhorst is a Senior Technical Consultant for HPC. He supports several Compute Centers in their code modernization efforts. His primary interests include MPI/Hybrid GPU applications and related analyzing tools. Before joining Intel he received a PhD in Solid State Physics, worked for the Hanover University compute center and the HPC company PALLAS.

Klaus-Dieter Oertel is a Technical Consultant Engineer for HPC at Intel. He belongs to the first generation of parallelization experts in Germany and worked on all kinds of supercomputers. His current focus is on supporting the usage of Intel® oneAPI tools like Intel® Advisor in software development. He holds a diploma in mathematics from the University of Bonn.

Séverine Habert is an AI Engineering Manager at Intel whose team helps Machine Learning/Deep Learning developers to use Intel® AI Software tools. She holds a PhD in medical imaging from Technical University of Munich.
