SCIENCE & ART CONNECTING PEOPLE

"Science & Art : Cultural collisions" programmes aims to organise and support inspiring teams of young high-school students and their teachers to work on scientific topics for several months supervised by scientists and/or artists to present a chosen scientific topics/story by creating artistic expressions including digital artworks that illustrate the interdisciplinary dialogue.

Participating teams will have an opportunity to take part in this program in Serbia in period March - August 2022 (phase 1) and period September 2022 - May 2023 (phase 2), and during these periods several workshops, lectures, discussion sessions, and virtual tours will be organised. Participating teams will receive selected gifts from CERN, and have a chance to present their work at the international physics conferences taking place in Belgrade in 2022 and 2023. Winning team (up to 5 students + physics teacher + art teacher/consultant) will be invited for a two-days visit to CERN.

The target audience for the artworks created during the program are young students, of similar age, as well as members of the general public.

Registration of teams for the phase 1 was initially open until Sat April  30 (and subsequently was extended until Fri Jun 3). Details about the registration of teams for the phase 2 will be presented at a later date.
