Monday 19:00-22:00 at Störtebeker Elbphilharmonie

Join us for a welcome drink and snacks at the Störtebeker from 19:00 to 21:00 on Monday. It is located at the plaza of the Elbphilharmonie, which is at the midsection of this iconic building. You can reach it by using the longest escalator in Europe, located inside the Elbphilharmonie.
To get from the conference venue to the Elbphilharmonie, walk to the U3 station “Schlump”, which is about 1.3 km (0.8 mi) away (1). Then take the subway U3 (the yellow line) in the direction “Wandsbek-Gartenstadt” and exit after 5 stops at “Baumwall (Elbphilharmonie)” (2). From there it’s only a short walk to the Elbphilharmonie, by crossing three bridges (3). Enter the building through the turnstiles and take the escalator up to the plaza.

Wednesday 19:00-23:00 at Zum Alten Lotsenhaus

The “Zum Alten Lotsenhaus” is located next to the Elbe beach. The most scenic way to get there is to take the U3 to “Landungsbrücken”, which is one stop before “Baumwall” (please take a look at the directions for the reception on how to get there). At Landungsbrücken, go to the Landing Bridge 3 and take a ferry number 62 in the direction of “Finkenwerder”. It leaves every 15 minutes. Exit on the third stop, “Neumühlen / Övelgönne”. The ride takes about 15 minutes. From there it is just a short walk to the “Lotsenhaus”. Alternatively, you can take the Bus 112 from U Stephansplatz in the direction of S Blankenese and exit at Hohenzollernring (Süd). From there, it’s a four minute walk.
Public transportation in Hamburg
We will use public transport to get to the events. In August 2022, a special 9-Euro-Ticket is available at ticket machines/desk or in the HVV or DB public transport apps, which covers all local trains and buses across Germany for a whole month (but no inter-city-express travel).
