Statement on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
The PyHEP community is dedicated to providing an inclusive and safe experience for everyone. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form and we commit to providing a harassment-free, accessible, and pleasant conference experience with equity in rights for all.
We have a few ground rules that we ask people to adhere to:
be friendly and patient
be careful in the words that you choose and be kind to others
when we disagree, try to understand why.
We want every participant to feel welcome, included, and safe at the PyHEP workshop.
We aim to provide a safe, respectful, and harassment-free workshop environment for everyone involved regardless of age, sex, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, (dis)ability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, nationality, religious beliefs, childbirth- and pregnancy-related medical conditions or childcare requirements or any other factors.
This code of conduct applies to all spaces managed by the PyHEP community. This includes Slack channels, Gitter, mailing lists, socials, and any other interchanges used for communication. It applies to all of your communication and conduct during the workshop, including emails, chats, things you say, slides, or even t-shirts you display in these spaces.

This code of conduct was adapted from the LLVM Foundation Code of Conduct, which in turn is based on the Django Project Code of Conduct, which in turn is based on wording from the Speak Up! project.
