DataVillage is developing a platform to perform confidential data processing on personal data, where end users can allow service providers to process their data to produce derived data, while having the guarantee that the original data will not be read by the service provider itself. DataVillage will be joined by VRT, the Flemish public broadcasting company, which is using the DataVillage platform to build a user-controlled content recommendation service for its audience.

Their users are 200K, so they examine performance issues before putting in production personal media pods.

Matchmaking between personal data in spotify and facebook and the offer of VRT.

datavillage builds a app that takes the user's spotify entries and puts them is the user's pod. http://datavillage.me

VRT can recommend some other media files (movies, docs, etc) guessing that people like this thanks to their spotify harvesting.

Jan Schill has also done a simple version of something similar https://janschill.net/works/

Participant Larry Swanson asked about UI/UX activity in Solid. Kyra Assaad is the Inrupt developer for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9skeBlRzOo

We are looking at having all pods have a process queue that can trigger processes according to pod owners intent. (digital twin) We just created a short video showing Solid used for supply chain collaboration: https://vimeo.com/699342008
