Every year, the Swiss Physical Society (SPS) invites young people having participated with success at Swiss national and international science competitions to the Young Talents Day (YTD).

The morning of that day is used for a guided visit through one of the major Swiss research institutes, this year the EPFL, to give some insight into present research topics and the atmosphere of modern laboratories.

The YTD is scheduled at the same day as the yearly SPS thematic symposium, this year the Rudolf Clausius Symposium, to which the young talents are also invited to experience the life of scientists during national or international conferences.

Travel between home and the EPFL (2nd class) and lunch are offered by the Swiss Physical Society and the Swiss Academy of Sciences.
