15:45 → 16:30 How can an extended scalar sector improve your life?

There are many unanswered physics questions by the Standard Model (SM). The need for a dark matter candidate and for new sources of CP-violation has led to the proposal of a large number of extensions of the SM. A simple possibility is to extend its scalar sector by introducing new fields and new symmetries. I will discuss some extensions of the SM that can solve these issues and some ways to probe them at colliders and dark matter experiments.
