Search for Light Charged Higgs at the LHC 45m

I will review the charged Higgs phenomenology at the LHC within the Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) as an example. Then, I will discuss the bosonic decay of a charged Higgs $H^\pm \to W^\pm S$, $S=h, A$ and show that they could be substantial over several areas of the parameter space of the 2HDM Type-I and X that are still allowed by LHC and other experimental data as well as all theoretical constraints. A new search at the LHC involving light charged Higgs bosons via $pp\to H^\pm h, H^\pm A, H^\pm H^\mp$ is proposed. It is demonstrated that for a light charged Higgs boson state, with a mass lighter than the top mass, such di-Higgs production and decay channels can give rise to interesting signatures with event rates much larger than those emerging from $pp\to t\bar{t}\to tb H^- + c.c.$.
