- GBLD:
- Antonio tested 8 samples of the new batch and compared them to samples of the old one: the jitter seems marginally better for the new samples and all of them work at 10Gbps. It should be mentioned that the test was performed with maxed emphasis and bias current settings, and that the eye is perfectly usable but noticeably less clean than for transmission at 5Gbps.
- The results are still preliminary and based on a very small number of samples
- Test set up:
- The instruments from the pool used in the testbench should be charged on BI
- Antonio already asked to move the rental on the BPM consolidation budget code: it should be checked if this was already implemented.
- Christos to provide in an email the budget code for the BLMs
- Jan will try to equalize the expenses, but the cost of the rental of instruments cannot be split between budget codes
- Manoel would need access to the scope this year for the qualification of the links and is already in contact with Antonio to agree on how to do it
- TOSA:
- The specification committee will take place this afternoon (Friday the 4th of August)
- It is not expected to be controversial in any way and we can expect the document to be sent out mid-September
- Francoise asked about the status of the review of the requested levels for the qualification criteria as this can have an impact on the result of the survey
- Christos said that there are no news but he will ask for new estimations
- Andrea pointed out that as we are validating the document today, the info cannot be integrated in it but remains interesting
- We will go ahead with the original requested levels but wait for the actual numbers for the BLMs
- MUX:
- No news on this component
- Andrea asked if there is anything that can be done on BI side to help with this, but Jan said that it is just a procedure to be followed to request the slot in the facility
- Francois asked if there is a technical problem or if it is just a question of starting the procedure: Jan confirmed is just a matter of initiating it, and this can be done now that Antonio is in the project
