Prof Phil Allport has recently retired (at least from formal duties). The Birmingham Particle Physics Group invites you to a half-day symposium ('Allport-fest') to celebrate Phil's career achievements, as also recently recognised through the award of the 2022 IoP Chadwick medal and prize.

The event will begin with a complimentary lunch, followed by a series of talks and reflections in the Birmingham School of Physics. There will be a drinks reception and dinner in the evening at the nearby Edgbaston Park Hotel (£60 per person). Please see the 'Timetable' link for full programme details.

Please follow the link on the left to register your attendance for the event (lunch and talks). Registration for the dinner is now closed.

Overnight accommodation is available at the Edgbaston Park Hotel (please follow the 'Accommodation' link and contact them directly). Birmingham City Centre is 2 stops away on a regular train route and provides many more options for overnight stays.
