Room: Auditorium All matter in our cosmos appears to be composed of a few subatomic particles that are governed by a handful of fundamental mathematical laws. These rules give rise to all the phenomena in the universe, from subatomic scales, through the vast expanse of space. I will talk about this sub-atomic cosmos and the laws which govern our universe and discuss the Standard Model of particle physics which gives a complete and self-consistent description of the fundamental physics of the universe.
