Venue
The lectures will be held in L 50 in the Psychology Building. Tutorials will be held in the four tutorial rooms on the 3rd floor of the Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science Building. Both of these buildings are on the Upper Mountjoy site of Durham University and there is a short five minute walk between them.
Accommodation
Participants will stay at Grey College, which is a short five minute walk from the lecture and tutorial rooms. The registration fee of £600 will include accommodation and meals from Sunday evening (including dinner) to Saturday morning (including breakfast), coffee breaks, a drinks reception and a banquet. The fee will only need to be paid once your application is accepted, i.e. after the deadline of 16 May 2023.
Financial support: When applying, you can request financial support and explain why this is necessary for you to attend the school. Support normally takes the form of a 50% reduction in the registration fee, which includes accommodation and meals. In exceptional situations we may consider a 100% reduction. Under no circumstances are we able to provide support for travel costs.
Important: Please do not finalise your travel itinerary or try to book accommodation until your application has been accepted.
Transport
Durham is a small city and it takes about 15 minutes to walk from the conference venue to the city centre, and a further 15 minutes to arrive at the train station. There are also local buses to the conference venue, and well-served taxi ranks can be found at the train and bus stations. Your favourite mapping service should be able to provide you with up-to-date directions and local transport.
Durham is well-connected by train to London, Edinburgh and Newcastle, all of which are served by international airports. More details on how to travel to Durham can be found at https://www.durham.ac.uk/visit-us/.
