Description

The first-of-its-kind quantum workshop for high school students will take place in the CERN Council Chamber on the morning of Saturday, 6 May 2023. The event is organised by the CERN Quantum Technology Initiative in close collaboration with the QPlayLearn platform to mark the second anniversary of World Quantum Day.

High school students in the local area, aged 15+, are invited to register for participation. There is no previous knowledge of quantum physics required to follow the workshop, but an eagerness to learn, question and get inspired.

The program includes an introductory lecture on quantum science and technology, held in French, and a Learn-by-Play hands-on session, held in small groups in English. Students will be mentored by volunteers throughout the event to get support and guidance as needed.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the event!
