Last update on the location:
We are here:
Auditorium Irène Joliot-Curie (building 100A entrance from the parking lot, side of the building)
https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/9666952100
The building is almost visible from the train station (Orsay ville) - take the exit at the head of the train when coming from Paris.
If in doubt just look out for your friendly HTC admin showing the way :D
Looking forward to see you tomorrow :)
PS: If you stay in 'Hotel Orsay' it is a 15 min walk to the lab:
Bookings are to be made by each participants, there are no reserved conference rooms/rates.
Important Update!
We have recently discovered that the Rugby World Cup coincides with our meeting dates. Unfortunately, due to the high demand for accommodations in central Paris during the workshop/rugby cup period, hotel prices have become even more inflated than usual. As a result, it is impractical for us to relocate the meeting, and there are no scheduled rugby games in Paris during the week of the workshop, so that should not be a concern.
In light of this, we recommend opting for a hotel located near the lab in the outskirts of Paris (Orsay):
- Hotel D'Orsay is our top choice and is frequently used by workshop attendees who have been quite satisfied with their stay. Moreover, it is conveniently within walking distance from the lab.
- Another viable option within walking distance is Campanile Paris Saclay.
- Alternatively, Le Village in Gif-sur-Yvette, three RER stations south of the lab, is a popular choice, although not within walking distance.
Please find the links to the respective hotels for more information and booking:

- Le Village at Gif-sur-Yvette: https://goo.gl/maps/zH6oRLqmJKPcW3W68
- Les Ulis is also an option, but please note that it is more challenging to reach, as the base option involves walking uphill: https://goo.gl/maps/cemFGHhFTNZ93kSp8
IJCLAB is conveniently accessible via the local tram/s-bahn, known as RER, specifically, Line B. The RER Line B runs from Charles de Gaulles Airport to the town of St Remy. To reach IJCLAB, alight at Orsay-Ville station.
Here is a map of RER Line B for your reference: https://www.ratp.fr/sites/default/files/lines-assets/plan-de-ligne/rer/plan-de-ligne_rer_ligne-b.1687561206.pdf

In Paris, public transport is highly efficient, and various ticketing options are available. If you plan to stay in central Paris, a 5-day ticket for 5 zones (Orsay village falls under zone 5) would be ideal. These tickets can be purchased at vending machines located in train stations or online. More information on ticketing options can be found here: https://www.ratp.fr/en/titres-et-tarifs/paris-visite-travel-pass
Additionally, there is a convenient app called "Bonjour RATP," available in English, which helps with navigation within the Paris traffic network. It also allows for online ticket purchases through a second app called "Ticket sans contact." (Credit card or Samsung pay as paymenty options) Please find the app links below:
