Connect to your fellow colleagues competition:
We have designed this game to encourage interaction between conference participants. On your name badge there is a QR code. Scan your own QR code to register with the website then scan other people's QR code to gain points, the highest scores win a prize. This game relies on website cookies so please accept the cookies and don't clear them for the duration of the game.
Best photo reproduction competition:
On every floor of DIAS there are historic photos, have a look and choose your favourite to recreate. Inclue your name on the files you upload so it can be traced back to you. Take a picture of your recreation and the orginal and upload them to https://dias.ie/catch24photo. The best recreation wins a prize! Below is an example done by Atri and Jasmine.
The jigsaw puzzle competition:
Inside your conference bag there is a particle badge of either a neutral or charged particle. This will put you in the neutral or charged team. Each team will compete to complete their own jigsaw puzzle placed outside the lecture room on the first floor. All members of the team who complete their jigsaw puzzle first win a prize!
The Twinit poster competition:
There is a poster just to the right of the toliets on the ground floor, the poster has a list of papers, some papers are listed more than once. Can you find the duplicate papers? When you think you've found all the duplicates send your answer to <jasmine@stp.dias.ie>. The first few people who get the answers correctly win prizes!
The overcoming gravity competition:
Whilst maintaining the angles shown, hold onto the 'Gravitation' book for as long as possible. Counter balancing the weight of the book is not allowed. Record your time on the sheet provided. The longest time holding the book up wins!
