Accomodation:
For participants seeking a short commute (~7 minutes) to the workshop venue, we recommend you to stay in the town Versoix. The best hotel in the town is Lake Geneva Hotel and it is located in the heart of town with easy access to the lake, train station, restaurants and groceries.
Geneva offers many other choices around the city, but we would recommend to stay near the train station (Gare Cornavin) to have short commute times (~26 minutes). A few good choices of hotels are: Hotel Cornavin, Hotel Montbrilliant, Warwick Geneva, ibis Geneva Centre Lac and Meininger Hotel.
Travel to Geneva:
By plane: either from Geneva Airport (GVA) or Zürich Aiport (ZRH). The commute from Zürich to Geneva (Gare Cornavin) will be around 3 hours via train. For this reason and if possible, we would recommend to arrive at the Geneva Airport. Regular trains run from Airport to Geneva every few minute or so. See the SBB website for exact connection times. The main train station in Geneva is named Geneva or Gare Cornavin on the SBB website.
By train: Geneva is well connected to all major Swiss cities. From these cities, connections to other major European cities are available. See the SSB website for travel details.
