How to reach Santiago de Compostela and the conference venue
How to arrive:
Santiago has a well-connected international airport with regular direct flights to Geneva, Basel, Amsterdam, Dublin, Frankfurt, London, Rome and Paris. The connection to Madrid and Barcelona is very good (several flights/day) so access by connecting flghts is convenient as well, usually. There are regular buses from the airport to the city (3E, every 30min), and a taxi drive (~15min) is 23E. Inside the city, most places of interest are within walking distance.
Time-wise, we strongly discourage alternative means of transportation, but for the most enterprising attendants, we recall that Santiago de Compostela is the end of the famous Way of St. James.
Inside the city:
Santiago de Compostela is a relatively small town with a population of a bit under 100000 inhabitants, and all relevant places are within walking distance. Exhaustive information can be found in the official page of the turism office, and a list of hotels, appartments and other accomodations can be found here.
Conference venue:
The conference venue will be the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Biology, within 5' walking distance of the Faculty of Physics, old and new towns, and the most popular cantines.
