WLCG strategy - for comments

Workshop Home Page

The agenda of the WLCG workshop is being finalised. Expected topics for WLCG: 

• Post Mortem of the Data Challenge 2024. Organised by the DOMA chairs (Mario, Christoph)
• Analysis Facilities: the LHCC will provide us a document explaining what they expect from us for the next review of this topic. The outcome of the workshop discussion should address that charge. To be further discussed after the Feb LHCC 
• WLCG Operations and Facilities: contact WLCG Operations Coordination (Julia, Maarten) and the GDB chairs (Mattias, Pepe) to suggest topics for discussion 
• WLCG Strategy: the strategy was presented at the Overview Board in December 2023. A googledoc open to comments is attached to the agenda. The Collaboration is invited to comment directly in the google doc. ATLAS already sent a set of comments and we discussed them. Some of the comments were implemented directly in the document as clarifications (contained in the attached version). Some comments need a broad discussion that should happen at the workshop. In the next month we should collect these comments so that we can organise a discussion at the workshop around the main themes. The strategy and parts of its implementation plan should be presented at the Overview Board in June 2024.  

 

We will start on Monday after lunch and we will finish on Friday at lunch. Book your hotels: it might be busy. Registration is open, please register.
