MEDICIS
LAST WEEK the double Ra-224/225 collection was retrieved and shipped to Dresden (700 MBq) and NPL (110 MBq), respectively. Irradiation of #833M started.
THIS WEEK the irradiation of #833M continued and has been retrieved today to start with a Dy/Tb-155 collection for CHUV.
We created a swimming pool in the S3 Bunker when putting the water on. After some tests it seems it is a target failure and not a FE failure. S3 water removal needs to be organised (S2 as well).
A 1h30 irradiation slot for the irradiation of Ta samples for a release study involving the our Latvian students, the Tb-task-force and the RP-FIRIA project will happen on friday morning.
In two weeks, the Minister of Health from Germany will come to visit MEDICIS as part of the protocol office.

Targets, Schedule and Physics 10mSpeakers: Hanne Heylen (CERN), Mia Au, Sebastian Rothe (CERN)
Physics week 19
- On GPS, the stable lead beam was very useful for preparating of photoluminiscence measurements in diamond requested by the solid state group later this year.
- On HRS, the Wisard experiment aims to investigate physics beyond the standard model by a high precision measurement of the weak interaction studied via the beta-delayed proton decay of 32Ar. A bit less than half of the statistics was obtained before the target change on Monday, the increased proton current was important to achieve the needed yields.
Targets
target #823
- yields decreased over time and instabilities were seen in the total and separated beam intensities
- heated to 300A to confirm drop in yields likely corresponding to sintering
- proton scan on user counts: moved the proton beam down, recovered the yield. could be that the target "sank" to the bottom.
- repeated proton scan
- removed and replaced by target #854
target #854
- one day turnaround time charge preparation to loading to online and under vacuum - thanks to Valentina for fast charge preparation!
- heavy outgassing once online
-
TODO: release curve on 32Ar yield confirmation (Sebastian and Isa)
target #855
- mass scan finished at offline, to be mounted on GPS
- proton scan on Friday TBC
- schedule says: "11:00 Continue setup + proton scan (no yield checks on tape station)"
- can test indium isomeric ratios on tape station if needed for RILIS setup
- intracavity tripled TiSa, doubled dye
- can optimize on FC490 this week once separator is setup, before central beamline

AOBs 5m
- Validation of possibility to operate both Frontends in parallel for winter physics/MEDICIS irradiation (HRS Frontend - direct) and GPS operation. Possibility identified by Charlotte later during the year.
- Access in the HT room in the shadow of a target change for SY-ABT and contractor (preparation of the HT safety panel consolidation)
- Vibration measurements in flush mode in the EN-CV technical room (to schedule in the shadow of a target change)
