Flash presentations

After the introduction of the session by the moderator, each job seeker is invited to introduce themselves in a 3-minute flash presentation.

The flash presentation is the job seekers' chance to say something about themselves and to explain why they are a good candidate for the advertised position. It might be helpful for job seekers to prepare a set of slides to support their introduction, which may feature information on their CV, research highlights, career goals, etc., i.e. a summary of what one would normally write in an application. The flash presentation should not go into too much detail; we recommend a set of three slides at most.

Please practice the presentation beforehand, to be sure to stay within the allocated time. Moderators will have to cut presentations short if job seekers go overtime. Last, but not least, make sure you have a stable internet connection and that you can share your presentation on Zoom. Feel free to share your slides with the LHC JMEv Organisers before the session starts, to make sure the moderator can share the presentation in case some technical issues arise on your side.
