9th Symposium on Prospects in the Physics of Discrete Symmetries

Discrete symmetries meet at the crossroads of particle physics, astrophysics and cosmology. The purpose of this symposium is to review the latest developments in the field of discrete symmetries, to discuss the present status of the field and to explore future directions.

Combinations of the discrete symmetries C, P, and T are probed in electroweak processes, Higgs physics, and low-energy precision experiments. New discrete symmetries are postulated to ensure the stability of Dark Matter or to predict the patterns of quark and lepton flavour mixing.

The conference addresses the role of these symmetries in the context of

  • Quark and lepton flavour physics in SM and BSM
  • CP violation in colliders and cosmology
  • Strong CP problem and axions
  • B and L number violation
  • Neutrino physics
  • Cosmology and astroparticle physics
  • Precision experiments with atoms and molecules
  • Collider theory and experiments

Conference dinner will be held in Pivnica Union on Thursday, 5. December.

The proceedings of the workshop will be published in Proceedings of Science, the open access online journal organised by SISSA, the International School for Advanced Studies based in Trieste. The proceedings will be peer-reviewed. The Local Organising Committee will oversee refereeing process. Authors will receive login information from the workshop organisers.

The deadline for proceedings submission is March 14th, 2025.
