Description
ICFA has established a "Data Lifecycle" panel (https://icfa.hep.net/icfa-panel-on-the-data-lifecycle/) with a mandate of promoting best practices in various steps during the full lifecycle of particle physics data. A particular focus is on open science and FAIR principles.
Training for these best practices in research software development is a key issue in this domain. In this workshop, the panel would like to take the occasion to discuss with and hear from the active enablers of training in our field. How can the panel help your work? What are the main obstacles you see in promoting, acquiring and adopting software skills?
