Description

Abstract:

"The Full Remote Alignment System (FRAS) is a multi-sensor alignment monitoring and remote adjustment system being developed as part of the HL-LHC project. It will enable the remote alignment of 200m of motorized components between Q1 and Q5 on both sides of the ATLAS and CMS experiments. The FRAS will consist of approximately 1,150 sensors and 344 actuators, generating a vast amount of data, such as sensor parameters, calibration values, local coordinate systems, and more, all organized in hierarchical relationships. To effectively manage these parameters, a robust data and asset management approach is essential. This presentation will showcase the design and development of the FRAS asset management structure using EAM and other CERN tools, covering asset types, naming conventions, work orders, data storage, and integration with other databases."
