Rio de Janeiro is a major tourist destination in Brazil and offers an ample choice of accommodation at all levels of service and price.

Below are some hotel options grouped by location.
CBPF is located between the neighbourhoods Botafogo and Urca. Botafogo is a lively residential neighbourhood overlooking Guanabara Bay, a nearby option for CBPF (10 min by taxi/Uber), but away from the main beaches. It is a bohemian neighborhood with good restaurants and cafés. Hotel rates are somewhat cheaper than those close to the main beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema. Nearby is also the neighbourhood of Flamengo (15 min by taxi/Uber), which also offers some more economic options.
The most famous/touristic neighborhoods to stay in Rio de Janeiro are the beaches of Leme, Copacabana and Ipanema. Despite all these areas being served by the metro, there are no metro lines directly connecting to CBPF, so taxi/Uber is the best option to reach the venue. Leme and Copacabana are closer to CBPF (10 min by taxi). Leme is a small neighbourhood, quieter and well connected to Copacabana. If you prefer fancier areas, Ipanema and Leblon are also not far (20 min by taxi). All these are good areas considering safety and availability of restaurants and tourist attractions.

Alternatively, If you prefer to stay at a walking distance from CBPF (15 min walk), you may find a range of apartments to rent in Urca, which is a quieter neighbourhood. The only hotel in this more residential part of town is by the Sugarloaf mountain:
