Description

The 17th Portuguese Language Teacher Programme (2025) will take place from 31 August to 5 September 2025. Lectures, on-site visits, exhibitions, and hands-on workshops will introduce its participants to cutting-edge particle physics. We hope our participants will go back to their countries as ambassadors, who pass on the subject to our next generation of physicists, engineers, IT specialists...

 

A 17ª Escola de Professores no CERN em Língua Portuguesa (2025) irá ocorrer no CERN de 31 de agosto a 5 de setembro de 2025. Palestas, visitas locais, exposições e oficinas "com as mãos na massa", introduzirão os participantes à física de partículas e investigação de ponta que se realiza no CERN. Esperamos que todos os participantes regressem aos seus países como Embaixadores que passem estes desenvolvimentos à próxima geração de cientistas, engenheiros, etc.

 

The 17th edition of CERN's Portuguese Language Teachers Programme happens in the framework of the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the accession of Portugal to CERN, along 1985, and of the 40th anniversary of LIP, created on May 9th, 1986.

Esta edição da Escola de Professores no CERN em Língua Portuguesa ocorre no âmbito das celebrações do 40º Aniversário da acessão de Portugal ao CERN, ao longo de 1985, e do 40º Aniversário da criação do LIP, a 9 de maio de 1986.

É um programa no CERN com o apoio financeiro do LIP (www.lip.pt) e da Agência Ciência Viva (www.cienciaviva.pt) e, para a participação importante dos professores provenientes dos países africanos de expressão oficial portuguesa e de Timor-Leste, com o inestimável apoio financeiro total do Camões, I.P. - Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua, Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros de Portugal (www.instituto-camoes.pt).

Para apoio à estadia de alguns professores portugueses, temos a felicidade de poder contar também com a contribuição do Crédito Agrícola (www.creditoagricola.pt) e do Banco Santander (www.santander.com).

It is a programme at CERN with the financial support from LIP and from Ciência Viva Agency and, for the important participation of the teachers from African countries and East-Timor, with the invaluable total support from Camoes, I.P. - Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal.

For the support of the stays of some portuguese teachers, we are happy to count on the support from Crédito Agrícola and Banco Santander.
