- worked on a new patch firmware based on 3.19.2 (tag 3.19.3) for ITS and MFT. Extended checks to drop packets in case of corrupted RDH and CHKSUM Mismatch.
- contacted by TPC, it seems there are some timing errors. Waiting to receive more information from TPC experts.
- On this issue : compiling firmware with newer QUARTUS (20.1), there are many timing errors (https://gitlab.cern.ch/alice-cru/cru-fw/-/issues/380 to be followed)
- Strange problems:
- some time the JTAG cable disappear (I need to replug the cable ... it happened with TPC)
- Very rarely, after a rescan of the PCIe bus 1 EP of a few CRUs disappear. Reboot fixes the issue
- HW issue: 1 CRU 1080 can't use the PARALLEL FALSH. The chip is recognized and it can be programmed over JTAG cable, but the FPGA can't load the firmware from it.
Olivier:
- lpGBT model wrapper working in simulation with dynamic speed selection and fixed encoding (FEC12)
- Data generator and checker compatible with lpGBT ASIC datapath were implemented and tested as well
- working on a top level to integrate this wrapper and produce a first binary
