Spectra Logic User Group meeting
This event will bring together users of Spectra Logic tape technology. The aim is to exchange ideas, share experience and express opinions on the future roadmap.
Given the specificity of the tape technology and the (relative) small size of the overall market, it is important to build, promote and facilitate exchange of experiences with this technology in the scientific community and beyond.
For archiving huge quantities (hundreds of PBs) of (scientific) data, large tape libraries are needed. Following market consolidation, there are only two companies manufacturing tape libraries with over 15000 slots and Spectra Logic is one of them.
This meeting is dedicated (but not limited) to the institutional users of large tape libraries from research and education sectors with demanding requirements on data archival.
