Description

The closing keynote will reflect on observations from the preceding three days of the 2025 Open Science FAIR. There is a collective intelligence manifest in the Open Science FAIR and, at a time when there is a strong emphasis on the artificial, we come together in a demonstration of the genuine. The talk will follow the roadmap set out by the programme and feature highlights from the panels, talks, posters, and workshops. From moving beyond compliance with mandates and policies, to building shared international infrastructure, to developing skills for emerging and seasoned researchers, to rethinking research assessment and rewards - we'll reflect on how the 2025 Open Science FAIR highlighted new discoveries, significant challenges, and promising opportunities in the community. Final remarks will look both to the immediate need for resilient international partnerships and to the long-term sustainability of open science in practice from the collective intelligence of the lessons learned and knowledge shared during the Open Science Fair.
