Guest house guests will have dedicated parking spaces. Ask the front desk when you check in.

Shuttle:

  • The downtown Berkeley Lab shuttle stop is located near the Shattuck & Allston intersection on the east side of Shattuck, near the Target store and Jupiter pizza (look for the Berkeley Lab shuttle sign near the regular bus stop sign):

  • Board either the Orange or Blue route (uphill) shuttle as identified by the destination sign. The shuttle stops are shared with regular bus service and the UC berkeley shuttles, so be sure to board the Lab shuttles look like below. Tell the driver you are a visitor & that you want to get off at Building 65, and show your site access email.

On Foot

It is possible to walk from downtown Berkeley to the Lab in about 30 - 45 minutes, but be aware that it’s a pretty steep uphill walk! Navigate to Blackberry gate using your GPS. At the gate, you will have to catch the guard’s attention since they will mostly be focusing on the car entrance that is adjacent to the pedestrian entrance.

Note that it is possible to rent bikes/ebikes/scooters in Berkeley, see: https://berkeleyca.gov/city-services/getting-around/shared-bikes-and-scooters
