WiFi access

The default wifi option on campus is eduroam.

eduroam is the secure, world-wide roaming wireless access service developed for the international research and education community. eduroam is the free encrypted wireless service at UC Santa Cruz that allows students, faculty, staff, and visitors from other participating institutions, to connect securely to the Internet.

Visitors who are not set up with eduroam can use the UCSC-Guest WiFi instead.
UCSC-Guest is an open access unencrypted wireless network for guests requiring temporary access to Internet browsers while visiting UCSC.

To access UCSC-Guest WiFi

  1. Select UCSC-Guest from the list of available wireless networks on your device. Once selected, a page with an Acceptable Use Policy will open.
  2. Read through the Acceptable Use Policy and click Accept.
  3. Once connected, you will be taken to a success connection screen.
